On Saturday 5th April, Fields in Trust will mark their 100th anniversary, and we’re proud to be part of the celebrations right here at Roseburn Park – a space that holds so much history and importance for our club and community.
Formerly known as the National Playing Fields Association, Fields in Trust has long championed the protection of green spaces across the UK. Murrayfield Wanderers FC has a proud history of working in partnership with the organisation, and we’re delighted to help celebrate their centenary with a fantastic day of sport and community spirit.
The event will take place in and around Roseburn Park and our clubhouse, and we welcome everyone to come along and enjoy the day.
The events KO at 11.30am with our reformed Ladies team taking on Livingston RFC!
At 2.45pm we have the Plaque Unveiling by Lord Provost Robert Aldridge followed by some speeches from Jim McDonaugh, Chair of Friends of Roseburn Park and Ewan Gillies, Trustee of Fields in Trust.
Then at 3pm we have the KO of our Mens XV against The Co Optimists!
After the event our Clubhouse will be open where everyone is welcome.
It promises to be a brilliant day for players, supporters, and the local community alike. We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate 100 years of Fields in Trust and the green spaces that mean so much to us all.
